XMpLant is a high performance programming environment with read and write interfaces to the major process plant design systems providing access to the full intelligent process plant information in an open neutral form - ISO 15926 classes - structure, attributes and geometry. Why write applications using API's that are specific to one system when you can write one with technology that can operate on models from any system. The XMpLant Development Environment (XMpDE) is being used to facilitate the development of interfaces between proprietary systems and ISO 15926 models. ISO 15926 is the evolving standard for process plant information sharing.

The Schema for the XML files is in the public domain and implements the key classes of ISO 15926.
